A new school year has started, students back in the corridors and the castle seemed full of life once again. One would think that the staff would have been preparing through the summer months for their students return. Most likely had. In the Hospital Wing, however, music floated through the large doors into the corridor and inside a flurry seemed to be going on. The rows of hospital beds were lining themselves up, clean sheets, blankets, and fluffy pillows darted about the air before settling on their respective bed. Windows were open to let the crisp fall air inside to steal away the stale air inside.
At the center of this chaos was a man in casual attire, brown slacks, a warm yellow button up with green robes over top. Messy auburn hair was swept back into a ponytail at the base of his skull as if he had just gotten enough to be out of his face. A smile was on his face as his wand made quick work of preparing his ward for potential patients, making a quick twist to put the beds to being right. Everything was coming together well as he moved back to this desk. Every year he brought something new to his personal area. Arranging his desk he put the candy jar he had recently filled right on the corner where anyone could see it.
The next thing was putting his newest Ballycastle Bats signed photo on the wall beside his desk and it was complete! Humming to himself he looked around the room before picking up a piece of parchment and opening the storage cabinet to be sure he had enough potions and cures for the year. Luckily if he was short on something he could always ask the Potions professor here to help him with his supplies. He didn't like to be low just in case something happened after all, and Quidditch was usually the biggest cause of students needing to be brought here. Though every once in awhile it was Care of Magical Creatures and Herbology.
Ticking off the things on his list he was reassured that he had plenty of supplies to start with, and he knew he'd need more closer to the middle of the year unless something happened. Putting the list away he swept his gaze across the room and sighed a little. "Nothing like the new school year to get the room all cleaned and settled." There was just something amazing about coming back to Hogwarts. While he might not be a professor or teaching much of anything, but he was making sure the students got better. That their injuries were healed properly and quickly so they could get back to their studies. And that was perfectly fine by him.
