Location: Hogwarts

The Marauders are entering their 6th year. The war is starting to come to the tipping point - the Death Eaters are on the rise, and most would have to admit: the Death Eaters were winning at this point. Tensions are high, and even in the safest place in the world, Hogwarts, the war seems to be slipping in through the cracks, causing animosity between students.

However, even in Hogwarts there are stresses more than simply school. There's rumors of students going missing and turning up exactly three days later somewhere on the grounds, having no idea where they had been, nor even realizing that time had passed. The only physical evidence of their abduction is a small star scar on the inside of their right wrist. Some speculate that it is to keep track of who had already been taken. The rate of disappearing students is not a great volume, but rumors have gone around the school, from Death Eaters collecting materials to impersonate students with polyjuice potion, to aliens abducting them and testing them. Of course, some theories are wild and unbelievable, but some are scarily possible, causing unrest in the school body.

In response, some students have decided to investigate the disappearances. A loose organization of information sharing, the group isn't well managed and progress is slow. Even the notorious four in Gryffindor house are working to build something to track people - a map of sorts. Of course that's secret and only few know of their plans...
